welcome

Are you frustrated with attending training classes for weeks and seeing no progress? Have you been told that your dog is a lost cause, too hyper, or aggressive and the only alternatives that exist are medication, euthanasia, or giving up the dog to a kill shelter? In over 30 years, I have never encountered a dog that is not trainable. Relax, your dog is perfect!

Equally important is the need to train your dog. Whether a mixed or pure breed, large or small, six months or six years, you owe it to your dog to ensure that it is well mannered, both at home and in the community, by teaching it to obey basic commands. You also have a responsibility to those around you to train your dog ; neighbors and members of the community appreciate a well-behaved animal. Successful training enhances not only the bond between you and your dog, but improves its quality of life overall.

Too often, dog owners make the mistake of trying too hard to make their dog something it already is. You cannot add to or take away from what nature has already perfected. A successful training experience does not begin on the outside of your dog. Successful training is not determined by what you throw, place on your dog's neck, nose or chest, or how many times you click and treat. Unless and until you gain an understanding of the nature that exists within every dog, not its personality characteristics, owners will continue to believe their dog is not trainable. Subsequently, these dogs that other programs have failed or turned away are not afforded the opportunity to reach their full potential. Owners are relentlessly bombarded with countless tools, gadgets, books, devices and advice sure to solve their dog's problem. Every "solution" either fails to address the issue successfully or leaves the owner guilt ridden, helpless or hopeless. Success begins with understanding your dog does not understand English, nor is it a person with four legs, and it is an injustice to your dog to define him as such. Lying within your dog is a resource waiting for you to discover. Obedience is the glue that holds the pack together. Learn how to communicate with your dog using their language of natural obedience.

Remember, YOUR DOG IS PERFECT!!!!
